1. Who We Are

This consultation portal is operated by RTLS Intelligence Pty Ltd (ABN to be confirmed), an Australian company preparing the draft standard DR AS/NZS 5765.1:2026 — Mobile Duress and Personal Alarm Systems for submission to Standards Australia and Standards New Zealand.

2. What Data We Collect

When you register and participate in this consultation, we collect:

  • Account information: Name and email address (provided via Manus OAuth authentication)
  • Stakeholder profile: Organisation name, stakeholder type, country, and phone number (optional)
  • Consultation submissions: Comments you submit on specific sections or clauses of the draft standard
  • Public participation preference: Whether you have opted in to have your organisation listed publicly as a respondent
  • Technical data: Session cookies for authentication purposes only

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Consultation process: To identify you as a stakeholder, associate your comments with your organisation, and compile feedback for the standards development process
  • Communication: To send you confirmation receipts when you submit comments, and to contact you if clarification is needed on your submissions
  • Public listing (opt-in only): If you enable the "Public Participation" toggle, your organisation name, stakeholder type, and country will be displayed on the landing page. Your individual comments, name, email, and phone number are never displayed publicly.
  • Submission to Standards Australia / Standards New Zealand: Aggregated and de-identified feedback summaries may be included in the formal submission. Individual comments may be attributed to your organisation (not your personal name) in the submission documentation.

4. Who Can See Your Data

  • Portal administrators (RTLS Intelligence) can see all submitted comments, profiles, and account details for the purpose of managing the consultation
  • Other users cannot see your comments, email, phone, or personal name
  • Public visitors can only see your organisation name, stakeholder type, and country — and only if you have explicitly opted in via the Public Participation toggle
  • Standards Australia / Standards New Zealand will receive compiled consultation feedback as part of the formal submission process

5. Data Retention

Your data will be retained for the duration of the standards development process (estimated completion: August 2027). After the standard is formally published or the project is concluded, personal data will be deleted within 12 months. De-identified, aggregated consultation summaries may be retained permanently as part of the public standards record.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw your public participation opt-in at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls to protect your data. The database is hosted on managed infrastructure with encryption at rest.

8. Cookies

This portal uses a single session cookie (app_session_id) for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that identify individual users.
